Off-Road Duathlon Racing in its 12th year!

Race Details
Chanoko Mt Bike Duathlon Distance: Run 2 mile – Bike 12 miles – Run 2 miles.
Race all three of the 2011 Chanoko Mountain Bike Duathlon Series held on January 23, February 6, and February 20, 2011. This three race series features beautiful, scenic and single track bike and run trails and race entry includes custom Chanoko race t-shirt, hot post race meal, athlete goody bag, post race massage, and raffle prizes. Series Champions will be awarded in each age group.

Fees:
Chanoko Duathlon $40/$50 race day
Relay Team $75/$90 race day
Chanoko MTB Duathlon Individual Series - $100
Chanoko MTB Duathlon Relay Series - $200

Packet pick up: Sunday February 6th from 7-8 am at Race Site.

Race Features
Course Description:
Run – The 2 mile run course is the same for both legs of the race. The course will run on granite paths, single track trails, and a small section on pavement with an aid station at the start of the run and the half way point.

Bike - The 12 mile is a two-loop course with all types of terrain: single track, hills, sand, mud and dirt, combined with beautiful scenery on the trails at Folsom Lake.

Transition Area - The Transition area will be on a first-come basis. The transition area at all TBF Racing events is for athletes only. All non-athletes must remain outside of the transition area at all times on race day. Bodymarking will be take place at the entrance to the transition area and must be completed before you enter the transition area. Athletes will have their race number marked on their legs and arms and have their age division on their calf. Glass or bottles are not allowed in the transition area.

Aid Stations:
Aid stations will be located in the transition area and at mile one on the run course, serving cold water, CLIF Gel Shots, and Electrolyte beverage.

Chanoko duathlon

Divisions/Awards:
For the Chanoko Duathlon there will be 10-year age groups beginning with 19 and under and ending with 70+ for male and female individuals. Awards will be presented three-deep in each 10-year age group, with Overall Special Awards to first M and Female finisher. For Relay Teams there will be first place for each division: male, female, and coed teams.

There will also be Chanoko Series Age group Champions for athletes competing in all 3 Chanoko events - awarded to 1st place in each division. The Chanoko Champions will receive free entry into all 3 Chanoko Races for next year in addition to Chanoko Champion Awards. 

Equipment:
Listening devices of any kind: MP3, IPod, headphones, etc…are not allowed. Helmets must be worn and buckled on the bike at all times. Run numbers must be worn on the run and when crossing the finish line.

Competitor Goodies:
Included for each competitor is a custom Chanoko MT Bike Duathlon custom color race shirt and athlete goody bag with CLIF Bar and Emerald Nuts product samples.

Post Race Athlete Food:
Included for each competitor is a post race meal of hot soup or chili with fruit, cookies and beverage.

Training and Coaching:
TBF Training provides group workouts and coaching for the sport of Triathlon along with individual Multi-Sport Coaching and Personal Training.

Race Gear:
Look your best and race your best with TBF Triathlon apparel. Bike jerseys, Tri Singlets, and Tri Shorts are available in both male and female styles/sizes.
